Koperattivi Malta has presented a document offering ideas on how the government can ensure a social and economic environment that encourages teh setting up of new cooperatives in innovative areas, such as banking, housing, the provision of alternative energy and health care.

It insists that in educational institutions such as Mcast and the University, the teaching of the cooperative business model should be introduced in courses such as economics, law, accounts and business management.

Koperattive Malta this morning met the Union Haddiema Maghqudin, which has helped in the setting up of a number of cooperatives.
