Youths in Kirkop went back to the 80s and 90s last month during a street festival that raised €1,300 for the Inspire Foundation.

The festival was organised by the youth section of Kirkop's Għaqda Mużikali San Leonardu and featured DJs Alex Grech, Ryan Spiteri and Renato Vella among others.

"These young people have so generously offered their time and commitment to organise an event in aid of a good cause. Such support means the world for an organisation like ours,” Inspire Foundation fundraising manager Claire Galea said.

The Inspire Foundation offers education, therapeutic and leisure services to over 1,000 clients with a disability and assists their relatives in everyday life. Programmes are offered free of charge or at highly subsidised prices.

Għaqda Mużikali San Leonardu is a registered voluntary organisation. Established in 1858,  it offers free music tuition to all, and strives together with the Church to strengthen devotion towards St Leonard, patron saint of Kirkop.
