'King Of The Track' : Sheldon Sciberras was recently crowned Pedal Power 'king of track' after winning a competition organised by the BMX Association. This activity, sponsored by Pedal Power of G'mangia for the third year in succession, is made up of a series of events. In the dirt competition, riders underwent a total of five jumps on a set of dirt ramps where they had to perform tricks. Points were attributed according to the difficulty of their performed trick. Here, Sciberras placed first, followed by Mark Filletti and Julian Delia. The half-pipe category was open to the more-experienced riders. Here, riders had two runs of a one-minute-and-a-half duration each, where they had to use the ramp in any way possible to gain points. The street competition, open to the younger riders, featured two smaller sets of ramps where participants were awarded points for their performance. Sciberras came out tops in the half-pipe section. Delia and Mauro Anastasi placed second and third respectively.
