KIA Motors Corporation has donated US$1.5 million to the countries affected by the tsunami that hit the Asia Pacific region.

KIA will donate $534,000 in relief funds to India, and $150,000 to Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and Sri Lanka. In addition, the group will also provide $370,000 worth of free vehicle repairs and free parts supply to the affected nations. Also 5,000 KIA employees and dealers have joined in the relief effort.

The relief funds will be delivered to the governments or disaster control centres in the region and relief goods will be delivered directly to the Red Cross.
