Brazilian playmaker Kerlon is in line to make his debut for Sliema Wanderers who will be going all out to open their account when they meet Pembroke Athleta today.

Kerlon, who joined the Blues after failing to earn a contract with Birkirkara, was on the books of Serie A side Inter in his youth.

Stephen Azzopardi, the Sliema Wanderers coach, is also buoyed by the return from suspension of captain Mark Scerri and goalkeeper Glenn Zammit while striker Aidan Friggieri has shaken off the groin injury that kept him out of the 1-0 reverse to Valletta.

Scottish striker Kyle Hendry is still doubtful.

Pembroke, on maximum points after back-to-back wins in their first season in the top flight, have no selection problems.

Coach Winston Muscat is expected to hand a debut to newly-signed goalkeeper Matthew Farrugia, formerly of Qormi.
