Kerċem council will be organising the second edition of a three-day cultural festival entitled Is-Sagra ta' San Girgor next month.

Kerċem parish church will host a Notte Gregoriana which will include a concert of Gregorian chants on March 12.

On the same day, the Superintendence of Cultural Heritage will make the official presentation on the prehistoric tombs of Kerċem found recently, followed by the opening of an exhibition in the church annexe. On-site visits will be possible.

A cultural tour of Kerċem sanctuary will be held in the morning of March 13. Those who would like to attend can call the council on 2156 3666/7929 9095 or send an e-mail to kercem.lc@ gov.mt. The tour is free. The main highlight of the night will be a Festa Familja at Pjazza San Girgor. The activity will include two dance shows - 'Unforgettable Dance Show' by Centre Stage and 'Dance Flair 2009' by Annette Mystic Dancers. Local artists and the Aurora Folk Group will also take part. Food will be prepared by ITS students.

The activities on the morning of March 14 will include a Festival tad-Djaletti u Għana hosted by Charles Coleiro and a Classical Motor Show by the Old Motors Club. The events will be held in the main streets of Kerċem.
