To celebrate its 10th anniversary, the Kempinski Hotel San Lawrenz held a tree-planting ceremony in the hotel's garden. Each member of the management team planted a tree for their respective departments.

Speaking during a reception for hotel guests and invitees, the hotel's general manager Noel Attard said he was proud to have seen the progress the hotel made during the past 10 years. Outlining the upgrading projects, the hotel was currently embarking on, he said all guest rooms were provided with new television sets and the wireless LAN was extended to all rooms and public areas.

Moreover, Mr Attard said, the new luxurious spa brand Terraké has just been launched.

A reverse osmosis plant would be installed by mid-August and the refurbishment of the spa would begin in the low season, he said. The hotel has recently been chosen as an Expedia Insiders' Select hotel, an annual award which recognises the very best hotels, as judged by customers of Expedia, the world's leading online travel company.

Meanwhile, the three winners who participated in the hotel's 10th anniversary competition are Anna Saliba (weekend break for two at the hotel), Andreas Merveldt (dinner for two), and Maria Schembri (a spa day membership including lunch for two).
