The Kappara project works at road level will be intensified from Monday, Transport Malta said.

The contractor will be working on the National Pool side of Triq Mikiel Anton Vassalli for the coming weeks. Although part of the street will be cordoned off, four lanes will remain available.

Barriers will be placed and lines will be painted after 8pm on Monday for traffic lanes to shift towards the side of the university.

The university side of the road, with two lanes northbound and two lanes southbound, will remain accessible for vehicles from Tuesday while the contractor will be working at street level on the National Pool side.

The contractor will be installing services, storm water systems and lowering the road level.

Transport Malta said it was installing directional signs to indicate alternative routes while works on Kappara project were ongoing.

It advised the public to avoid the area when possible or follow temporary signs and instructions.

The speed limit, it said, should be respected to ensure the safety of workers on site.
