Sports news in brief from around the world:

Juventus goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon is one of several first team players back to full fitness after being out for three months with a muscle tear in his right leg.

"Buffon, (Cristiano) Zanetti, (Christian) Poulsen and Hasan Salihamidzic are fully recovered. Tiago is on the way to being fit while (David) Trezeguet is ahead of schedule but will return to the group only when the surgeon gives the okay," coach Claudio Ranieri told reporters.

Trezeguet, who had knee surgery in September, will therefore miss Tuesday's friendly with Monaco in Messina and Sunday's home league game with Siena when Serie A gets back underway after a three-week midseason break.

* Inter aim to keep troubled Brazilian striker Adriano and will not be bidding for Genoa forward Diego Milito, club director Gabriele Oriali has said.

"I don't believe we will do anything in the January transfer window," Oriali was quoted as saying on the club's website (www.inter.it). "We've never said that Adriano was leaving. The intention of everyone is to keep him. It depends solely on him."

* Real Madrid goalkeeper Iker Casillas has said the arrival of Juande Ramos as coach and the back-to-back wins over direct rivals Valencia and Villarreal have put the Primera Liga champions back on track after their poor run of form.

"The main point is that the team has recovered its confidence," the Spain international told a news conference.

* Former France striker Jean-Pierre Papin is resuming his playing career at 45 with French regional league side AS Facture-Biganos Boiens, the southwestern club's coach Thierry Castets told reporters.

The former European Footballer of the Year scored 30 goals in 54 appearances for France and played notably for Olympique Marseille, AC Milan and Bayern Munich. He has also coached Racing Strasbourg and Racing Lens.

* Reggina have signed 30-year-old Slavia Prague right back Matej Krajcik on a two-year deal, the Serie A strugglers said on their website (www.regginacalcio.com).

* Girondins Bordeaux striker Gabriel Obertan, 19, is joining Ligue 1 rivals Lorient on loan until the end of the season, Lorient said on their website (www.fclweb.fr).
