Juventus captain Alessandro Del Piero has vowed his team will bounce back from their surprising midweek defeat to Parma when they visits Napoli tomorrow.

A 4-1 loss at home to Parma brought a shuddering halt to a 13-game unbeaten run that had established the Bianconeri in the top four.

Felipe Melo's 17th-minute sending off greatly hindered the Turin giants against an impressive Parma.

But Del Piero insists Juve, who are fifth in the standings, will recover this weekend.

"We made many mistakes and we failed to react," he said.

"Any sending off affects the game, especially when it arrives early on.

"But when faced with adversity, we must respond and we should have done that after Melo was shown the red card.

"Parma played a fantastic game and they deserved the win.

"It's tough to lose our first game of the year, in front of our home fans and by such a margin.

"But now we cannot make the mistake to be conditioned by that game.

"We have to be solid in order to recover the enthusiasm and strength because we have a lot of games left to play.

Del Piero added that Juve will have to be at their best to beat Napoli despite the Azzurri having lost 3-1 at Inter in midweek.

"They caused some problems to Inter and they can be dangerous on the counter attack," he said.

"They have enjoyed a great season so far and it is going to be a battle for us.

"But we want to finish the first half of the season in the best way possible, so it will not be easy for them to snatch a good result."

New signing Luca Toni could make his Juve debut on Sunday.

Juve signed the veteran forward from Genoa on a permanent transfer on Friday after losing Italy international Fabio Quagliarella for the rest of the season to a knee injury.

Napoli, meanwhile, look to put behind them Thursday's 3-1 defeat at Inter that dropped the team to third in the standings.

The Azzurri go into Sunday's match two points clear of Juve.

"We had a bad day against Inter," said Napoli goalkeeper Morgan De Sanctis. "But we will recover and take a result against Juve in order to consolidate our good position in the standings."

Juve's Melo will serve his first of a three-match ban on Sunday.
