A total 973 people made use of methadone service last year, Social Policy Minister Michael Farrugia said this evening.

Replying to a parliamentar question by Nationalist MP Claudio Grech, the minister said two of those who used the service were 19 or younger, 194 were aged between 20 and 29, 455 between 30 and 39, 248 between 40 and 49, 62 between 50 and 59 and 12 were 60 or older.
