Jurors in the murder trial of George Pace, 58, were this morning taken to the site at l-Ahrax in Mellieha where 66-year-old Nazzareno Ebejer, 66, was shot twice and killed 20 years ago.

The trial, presided by Mr Justice Joseph Galea Debono, started yesterday, when the jurors were told that Mr Ebejer was killed after he boasted that he carried a substantial amount of money on him - but no cash was actually found. Two other men had also been accused of the crime. One of them Carmelo Sant, pleaded guilty just before the trial started yesterday while the other, Michael Vella, has since died.
