The Junior Open tournament, played during the Easter holidays at the Marsa Sports Club, was sponsored by Samsung and sanctioned by the Malta Tennis Federation.

Favourites, in the various categories, kept the winning streak going.

Malcolm Ferrante continued to impress in the U/12 class. Even at this early stage of his career, Ferrante is full of confidence and shows great dedication.

Mattia Pecotic was in top form and deserved his U/14 title while young Matthew Asciak, winner of the U/16, showed he has all the ingredients of a promising player. The U/18 title went to Simon Camilleri.

The U/10 round robin was won by Zach Muscat and Mark Vella Bonnici won the Boys' plate. The U/14 boys doubles was won outright by Mattia Pecotic and Clive Vella. The only event held for the girls was the U/14. Elaine Genovese was the winner.
