Joseph Muscat passed the Eurovision buck to his finance minister this morning as he wished young singer Destiny well.
The Prime Minister referred to yesterday night's victory at the Junior Eurovision, jokingly adding that he thought next year was going to be "a quiet one".
Dr Muscat said that he called Destiny to wish her well. "I told her what did you do and she apologised. I told her I was joking and now it is in your hands Edward [Scicluna]."
Destiny, the 12-year-old soul singer, did us proud, Dr Muscat said.
His comments at this morning's Government that Listens event put paid to questions whether Malta will host next year's Junior Eurovision, the second in three years.
