June was slightly warmer and brighter than average, despite having cool weather during the first six days.

The Meteorological Office said average temperature stood at 24.3°C, which is 0.4°C more than the climate norm. The highest temperature peaked at 32.8°C on June 12, while the lowest temperature recorded was 16.4°C on June 1 and 5.

The average sea temperature was 22°C, 0.5°C warmer than the average for June. The relative humidity was 62 per cent, 6 per cent lower than the climate norm of 68 per cent.

The warmest June was in 2003, when the mean temperature stood at 26.1°C. The highest temperature ever recorded was on June 13, 1997 when thermometers rose to a high 40.1°C. The coolest night since 1947 was registered on in 1975 with a temperature of 12.6 °C.
