Gianni AttardGianni Attard

Veterinarian Frank Galea today filed a judicial protect calling on Gozitan farmer Gianni Attard to withdraw allegations he made about him in a judicial protest.

He asked for the withdrawal to be made in writing and to be given the same prominence.

A court decided earlier this year that 220 sheep he kept at his Gharb farm had to be slaughtered.

Dr Galea said Mr Attard had claimed that he committed perjury when testifying and had the audacity to say he was not competent in his job and a criminal.

This, Dr Galea said, was just a desperate reaction to a situation Mr Attard had brought upon himself when he decided not to act within the confines of the law and register the animals.

Lawyer Kenneth Grima signed the protest.
