Fiorentina have insisted the club's leading striker Stevan Jovetic - a reported target for Chelsea - will remain at the club.

Jovetic has been strongly linked with a move away from Florence this summer, with reports in Italy claiming that Chelsea are preparing to bid £20million for the Montenegro international.

A statement from the club read: "In relation to the stories published in the press regarding Stevan Jovetic, Fiorentina owner Andrea Della Valle reiterates that the player is not on the market."

Chelsea were reportedly keen to sign Jovetic in January, but no agreement was reached with the Serie A club.

The 22-year-old is under contract with the Tuscan outfit until June 2016.

Jovetic, who joined Fiorentina from Partizan in 2008, scored 14 league goals in 27 league appearances for the Viola last season.
