Speaker Anġlu Farrugia yesterday ruled that CCTV footage showed a journalist was not obstructing MPs from entering Parliament when he approached to speak to them.

He was ruling on a complaint by Home Affairs Minister Carmelo Abela who said that a representative of a broadcasting station had taken to going beyond the area designated for journalists in seeking comments from politicians.

Dr Farrugia said media representatives were there to do a job, within the space designated to them and indicated by bollards, while MPs had to have free access to enter the House.
