Maltese tenor Joseph Calleja and pianist Vincent Scalera wowed concert-goers at the annual Friends of Music concert at the European Parliament in Strasbourg, France last week.

The March 14 event was hosted by MEP Therese Comodini Cachia and was organised by the office in Europe of IFPI - the international organisation representing the recording industry.

Mrs Comodini Cachia is currently rapporteur for copyright reform on the EP Committee on Legal Affairs. She is promoting more access to music and content for consumers and measures to safeguard rights of artists including a fair pay for their works, to ensure investment in content creation continues to the benefit of all EU citizens.
