A concert by Maltese tenor Joseph Calleja and the symphonic orchestra Garde Republicaine is being held by the Maltese Embassy in Paris on April 23.

The concert ‘Joseph Calleja: La grande voix de Malte’ will be held at the majestic Hotel des Invalides, the place where the remains of Napoleon the first are buried.

The concert is being held under the patronage of Claude Bartolone, the President of the Assemblée Nationale, who has Maltese roots from his maternal side.

Many important personalities from the political, cultural, and economic spheres are expected to be present for the event which is also attracting important interest form the French media.

Prime Minister Joseph Muscat and Foreign Minister George Vella, who will be in Paris on the invitation of French President Francois Hollande, are also expected to attend.
