Former Tourism Minister Joe Grima, currently the government’s envoy to the World Tourism Organisation has described Eddie Fenech Adami as the biggest embarrassment to have ever walked in and out of the Maltese parliament.

Mr Grima launched a stinging attack on the former president and prime minister when he was reacting to comments made by his son Nationalist MP Beppe Fenech Adami on Times Talk.

Beppe Fenech Adami had described comments uploaded on Facebook by Mr Grima regarding the President and migration as an embarrassment. Labour deputy leader Toni Abela had also distanced himself from the comments.

Mr Grima said on Facebook that his comments were the free expression of a view with which a big majority of the people agreed.

He said Beppe Fenech Adami should be the last to accuse anybody of embarrassment, when his father would go down in Malta’s political history as the biggest embarrassment to had ever walked in and out of parliament.

Mr Grima then went on to list how Eddie Fenech Adami had, according to him, embarrassed the people (see Facebook post below).

Tuesday's edition of Times Talk discussed political accountability. Watch the clip above and Mr Grima's comments below.
