Jobs, Seriousness, Identity, has been chosen as the theme of the PN General Council meeting tomorrow and on Sunday, party general secretary Chris Said said this afternoon.

He said the PN would be pro-active on job creation. The party's ideas, he said, included a development bank to facilitate access to finance.

He said the theme 'Seriousness' stemmed from the fact that the government had thrown meritocracy and transparency out of the window and Malta had seen 'rampant' abuse of power particularly through violations of codes of ethics, the farce in the ministerial declaration of assets and government appointments.

'Identity' stemmed from the government's scheme to sell Maltese passports.

In a press conference, Dr Said also complained that the government was 'manipulating' PBS.
