The JCI Malta National Convention was recently held during which the 2011 local board of directors was appointed.

The 2011 team consists of Marvin Cuschieri, national president, Charlotte Gregory, deputy president and vice president international, Clayton Mercieca, vice president training, Annalisa Schembri, president of LOM de La Vallette (Business), Jeanette Borg, president of LOM de Wignacourt (social and community), assisted by Hermione Portelli, secretary general, Elaine Zammit, treasurer, Laverne Calleja Pace, public relations and communications director, and Karl Grech, immediate past president and membership director.

The national convention started with a morning training session entitled Coach to Lead, conducted by JCI international trainer Kai Roer. In the afternoon the AGM was held, chaired by Maria Zahra, immediate past national president, assisted by 2010 national president, Karl Grech and 2010 secretary general Francesca Spiteri Maempel.

During the meeting, the JCI Malta 2010 board members presented the achievements and projects organised during the year together with the financial state of the organisation. Following this, the candidates for the 2011 national board presented their future projects, events and plans of action for the upcoming year.

During his address, Mr Grech reminded the members that JCI is anetwork of young leaders who through their commitment to create positive change in the communities they live in. Mr Grech, together with national president elect for 2011 Marvin Cuschieri encouraged the audience to support the newly elected JCI board of directors during next year.
