Owen Psaila, 26 of Luqa, was today jailed for 10 years and fined €20,000 after he admitted to possession of 2,500 ecstasy pills with the intent to traffic in 2005.

Mr Psaila was due to face trial by jury but filed a guilty plea just before the trial started.

The pills were worth an estimated €26,630.

The haul was was one of the biggest street finds of ecstasy tablets.
