AS Roma came from behind to win 3-1 at Udinese on Sunday and cut the gap on Serie A leaders Inter Milan to one point. Champions Inter host fourth-placed Fiorentina later with five games then remaining in the two-horse race for the title.

Udinese had gone ahead early in the second half when Italy forward Antonio Di Natale nodded in at the far post with Roma keeper Doni and team mate Christian Panucci almost coming to blows in their attempt to apportion blame.

Luciano Spalletti's side soon fought back with Mirko Vucinic finishing neatly from David Pizarro's pass and Rodrigo Taddei putting Roma ahead when his shot bounced in off the bar and post.

Ludovic Giuly added the gloss late on. At the bottom, Cagliari boosted their hopes of survival in a tight relegation battle thanks to Robert Acquafresca's double in a 2-1 win at bottom side Livorno.

Fellow strugglers Reggina beat Sampdoria 1-0 and Empoli drew 1-1 at home to Parma, who also remain in trouble.

On Saturday, third-placed Juventus won 3-2 at home to fifth-placed AC Milan, whose hopes of Champions League qualification could be almost gone if Fiorentina beat Inter.

Genoa 3 – 0 Torino

Lazio 1 – 1 Siena
