Updated - Music sensation Snoop Dogg arrived in Malta this morning for the Isle of MTV concert. He emerged at the airport arrivals lounge bare chested, holding his shirt in his hand and signed autographs before getting into his car.

The Isle of MTV will be held on the Granaries in Floriana tomorrow, from 7.30 p.m.

This year's show, being filmed in 3D for the first time, also includes Far East Movement and LMFAO.

Concert executive producer Jane Fraser told a news conference on site this morning, that the set this year was totally new and its inspiration was from a record turntable. The set comes complete with state of the art LED technology and isvery appropriate for the dance upbeat, pop line-up of this year's concert.

Numerous versions of the show will be produced in a whole variety of configurations, including HD, 2D and 3D. The first version will be aired one week after the show.

Another first this year is the use of lasers.

Ms Fraser said this was the biggest production for MTV apart from the award shows.

Mario de Marco, Parliamentary Secretary for Tourism and Culture, said that around 50,000 people are expected for the concert.

Back when it was held here for the first time in 2007, the aim was to make Malta a destination for younger visitors.

At the time, 188,000 young people visited Malta, (13 per cent of that year's tourists). Last year, 270,000 young people came to Malta (20 per cent of tourists).

Asked about the possibility of future events of the sort being held in Malta, Dr de Marco said that good things usually continued.

Ms Fraser said that discussions were ongoing.

Dr de Marco said that the concert was especially good for Malta and the Maltese who loved to go out and enjoyed dance music.

The line-up was fantastic and the artists themselves loved the experience.
