The Isle of MTV music concert that has become a fixture on Malta's summer social scene has been confirmed for another four years, the Malta Tourism Authority announced today.

Now in its 11th year, the yearly concert will return to the Granaries in Floriana on June 27.

“The past ten years have seen the island provide the perfect setting for our biggest summer music festival and we look forward to building on what has proven to be an extremely successful partnership with our friends at the Malta Tourism Authority,” said Viacom Velocity Creative Planning Services VP Russell Samuel.

MTA CEO Paul Bugeja was just as ebullient, saying the partnership had boosted Malta's international visibility and enhanced its appeal to younger visitors.

We are looking forward to hosting the next editions of Isle of MTV, including a whole music week, an event which has become a major appointment on our ever increasing and varied annual calendar of events," he said.

Artists who will perform at the 2017 edition of the festival will be announced in the coming months.
