The Tehran Times has reported how an 80-year-old Iranian man has not washed for sixty years because he thinks being clean will make him sick.

Amou Haji also revealed that his preferred relaxation is smoking a pipe packed with animal faeces.

He chose this way of life after emotional setbacks in his youth.

He now lives in a hole near the village of Dejgah and occasionally used an open brick shack.

He wears rags and an army helmet to beat the cold and burns some of his hair when it gets too long.

Not surprisingly, he is not married.
