Ira Losco has launched a new music video to accompany the third single from her upcoming album We Are The Soldiers.

Following an eight-month hiatus, Ira returned with the power ballad, debuting the song at the Malta Eurovision national final last month.

We Are The Soldiers is the first single release following her participation at the Eurovision Song Contest in Stockholm.

She said on her Facebook page that yesterday's sudden disappearance of the Azure Window left many, including herself, startled and sad. Coincidently, she said, a strong message portrayed by the four protagonists in the video was to accept whatever life presented and soldier on.

The video features modern day "soldiers" - cancer survivor Charlene Mercieca, meningitis survivor and amputee Amy Camilleri Zahra, para-athlete Julian Bajada and visually impaired track athlete Karl Abela.

Ira said that the best way she thought of relaying her message was with four parallel stories which she narrates and celebrates.

"They are real-life soldiers.”

The video was shot by Matthew Muscat Drago.

A new album is to be released this year.
