Ir-Razzett tal-Ħbiberija has produced a 2008 calendar in conjunction with the Malta Baby and Kids Directory, Progress Press, Box Design and 34U.

All proceeds from the sale of the calendar will be in aid of Ir-Razzett, one of Malta's leading local charities providing free, regular service to over 1,000 individuals with a wide spectrum of physical and intellectual disabilities.

Bradley Dingli of Ir-Razzett said: "We want people to get to know more about the benefits that persons with disability get from Ir-Razzett, and we firmly believe that this calendar will create more awareness, considering it will be used in homes, classes, offices and places of interest.

"We are also pleased that children were also greatly involved in the design of the calendar to make it more appealing, colourful and original."

The Malta Baby and Kids Directory in conjunction with Ir-Razzett, recently organised a painting competition for children aged six to 14, with the theme 'A magical day out in the Maltese Islands'.

The calendar features 12 beautiful paintings chosen from a whopping 540 entries. Artist Jason Lu was asked to choose one painting from each age bracket.

The paintings chosen were by artists John Critien, Neil Gauci, Tristan Galea, Miguel Vella, Gabriel Camilleri, Liam Axisa, Christian Castagna, Rachel Cachia, Nicole Calleja, Sharon Rodenas, Francesca Grech and Jeaneve Flores.
