Authorities have began their investigation into the fiery crash of a UPS cargo plane in a field in Alabama that killed the pilot and co-pilot.

The large Airbus A300 crashed near a runway at Birmingham International Airport.

UPS flight 1354 was en route from Louisville, Kentucky, to Birmingham when it crashed at about 5 a.m.

Finding the plane's black box recorder, now key to the investigation.

UPS, the world's largest package-delivery company, says it's still determining details of the crash.

This is the latest in a series of air accidents in the United States in recent months.
