Claudio Ranieri is likely to remain as coach of struggling Inter until the end of the season, club president Massimo Moratti said today.

Inter suffered a 2-0 defeat to Juventus this weekend, extending a woeful run that has seen them win only one of their last 10 Serie A matches and left them 10 points adrift of the Champions League places, and 22 behind league-leading rivals AC Milan.

But asked today if Ranieri was the man to see Inter through to the end of one of their most disappointing seasons in recent memory, Moratti said: "I think so."

Ranieri replaced Gian Piero Gasperini in September but has been unable to turn around Inter's fortunes and the loss to Juventus was their 12th of the league season, only one shy of the club record of 13 suffered in 1947-48.
