Last week, the Inter Supporters' Club Malta - the largest Inter fans' branch around the globe - celebrated its 26th anniversary. Supporters and committee members commemorated the event with a function at the club's premises in Sta Venera. Present for this occasion were distinguished guests who are long-time fans of Inter, among whom Prime Minister Lawrence Gonzi and Deputy Prime Minister Tonio Borg.

In a short speech, Dr Gonzi commended the sterling work the committee members, headed by the energetic John Zammit, have carried out since the inception of the club. Also present for the event were MPs Charles Mangion, Tony Abela, the club's notary, and Michael Gonzi.
