Two goals in the first five minutes helped Inter ease to the top of Serie A with a 3-1 win over Napoli on Wednesday.

Inter coach Jose Mourinho was banned from the bench but the champions made the perfect start without him when Samuel Eto'o tapped in and strike partner Diego Milito soon beat the offside trap to score the second.

The hosts also netted through Lucio and went above Sampdoria, who dropped points for the first time this term in a 2-0 defeat at Fiorentina. Juventus can claim the lead with a win at Genoa on Thursday.

AC Milan's inconsistent start to the campaign continued with a 1-0 loss at Udinese, where Antonio Di Natale scored midway through the first half.
