Malta will be participating in the European Move Week, to be held between Monday and October 13.

Different localities around Malta and Gozo will be organising physical activities to raise awareness on the benefits of physical exercise throughout the week.

The Inspire Foundation will be participating by holding an open weekend on October 11, 12, and 13 at its premises in Marsascala.

Visitors will be offered free swimming sessions, free gym consultations by qualified fitness instructors, as well as free participation in rugby, weight and powerlifting sessions.

Free activities will also include table tennis, horse riding, archery, volleyball, sitting volleyball, aerobic sessions including Zumba, Pump n Jump, Kids Dance, Jazzerstyle, Yoga, and stability ball exercises.

The animal park will also be open and free train rides around the park will be available.

Visitors will also be in with a chance to win great gifts from raffle draws that will be held every few hours throughout the weekend.

“Inspire’s Therapy and Leisure Centre in Marsacala is the only fully accessible Fitness Facility in Malta that provides a wide range of therapeutic and educational services to the Maltese community,” Adelaide Silva, activities and sports coordinator at Inspire said.

“All income from memberships is directed towards specialist programmes and services for disabled people,” she said.
