The government will be giving the Inspire Foundation a grant of €840,000 each year according to a three-year agreement signed today. The grant will increase by five per cent each year.

The agreement was signed by the permanent secretary in the Education Ministry James Calleja and Inspire CEO Nathan Farrugia, in the presence of Education Minister Dolores Cristina.

Inspire offers specialised programmes and services for children and young people with special needs.

The government is also assisting the families of children with special needs with a 76 per cent subsidy for participation in special programmes.
