Vodafone Malta is the main sponsor of Insite`s student congress at Baystreet this weekend. The congress aims to illustrate the nature and various aspects of student life.

The congress comes to a close today with a party at the Artisan Market, featuring a live performance by Crosswalk and the participation of a number of Malta`s top DJs.

The event`s objective is to formulate a student declaration intended to complement the workings of student organisations and to enhance participation in those decisions which affect educational institutions and the entire country.

The activities began on Friday evening with a series of comedy routines produced and presented by students. Yesterday, the main conference was held at Baystreet Hotel. Bringing together student representatives from post-secondary institutions, academia, trade unions and employers` organisations, the conference focused on students` role in shaping society. A culture night was held yesterday evening, with the collaboration of KSU.

Vodafone Malta managing director Joseph Grioli said: "In making the preparations for their student congress, Insite have demonstrated that they are a specific example of the creativity and hard work needed by those who in the near future will be running the Maltese economy. Vodafone is delighted to be able to support such initiatives and is sure that the event will be a great success."

Insite is an independent media organisation, run by students with the intrinsic purpose of promoting student life and providing all tertiary students with a means with which to be heard. With Vodafone`s support, Insite is able to run a student newspaper and a Website at www.insite.org.mt.
