The European Social Partners have launched a joint project called: "Social Dialogue in CEECs: what are the social partners' needs?"

This project seeks to help social partner organisations in the CEECs to identify what they need to do to strengthen their capacity to act as social partners mandated to represent the views of their members in the European social dialogue.

European social partners asked the European Commission to organise an information session on possible EU funding for projects and social dialogue initiatives in the new member states.

FOI council member Godwin C Micallef represented the federation at this seminar, which took place on June 1 in Brussels. This seminar dealt with the funds available under different EU budget headings and how they can be applied for.
