The annual rate of inflation as measured by the Retail Price Index last month went down to 0.51 per cent from 1.04 per cent the previous month, the National Statistics Office said.

The annual rate a year earlier was 0.72 per cent.

The main upward impacts were mainly due to higher prices of entertainment and cultural visits, cigarettes and men’s outerwear.

The largest downward impact was mainly due to a reduction in the prices of fuel and gas.

The twelve-month moving average rate was 1.08 per cent
