Seasonally adjusted industrial production decreased by 1.2 per cent
in December over the previous month, the NSO said today.

When compared to December 2012, the index of industrial production adjusted for working days went down by 6.9 per cent.
 
Decreases were registered in the production of energy (-0.2 per cent) and consumer goods (-3.9 per cent). On the other hand, increases were registered
in the production of intermediate goods (+0.6 per cent) and capital goods (+4.3 per cent).

Annual comparison

When compared with the corresponding month of 2012, the index of industrial production went down by 6.9 per cent. Decreases were registered in the production of intermediate goods (-18.3 per cent) and consumer goods (-3.8 per cent). On the other hand, increases were registered in the production of energy (+1.2 per cent) and capital goods (+16.1 per cent) 
