The Malta Union of Bank Employees has told workers at HSBC not to use any means of communication including phones, lotus notes / emails, faxes and  messages of any kind today up to 10.30 a.m.

The two sides are in dispute over talks on a new collective agreement.

"Members will be sending a strong and clear message to the bank that a decent salary pot / allowances and improved conditions of work are expected in return for the constant efforts to deliver an optimum performance," the union said.
