Opposition leader Simon Busuttil's failure to act against MP Toni Bezzina was yet another failure by the Nationalist leader, the Labour Party said this afternoon.
Dr Busuttil was continuing to defend the Nationalist MP who, it said, had ordered government workers to work in a PN club during working hours, and then forced them to sign a false sworn statement.
The PL was commenting in the wake of a court case yesterday where the Labour media won a libel case which Mr Bezzina had instituted.
Dr Busuttil has said he will await an appeal from yesterday's sentence.
"For Simon Busuttil, yesterday's court decision, which confirmed all the facts of the case, means nothing," the PL said.
It said Dr Busuttil was not being taken seriously because of his double standards.
