Manchester United's eight-game home league winning streak goes up against Everton's 13-game unbeaten run in today's Premier League north-west derby at Old Trafford.

United go into the game four points adrift of Arsenal after the leaders beat Tottenham Hotspur 2-1 on Saturday while sixth-placed Everton will look to maintain the pressure on the top four.

Since being held 0-0 by Reading in the first game of the season, United have been formidable at home, winning their next eight Old Trafford games, scoring 20 goals and conceding only two in the process.

Their record against Everton in recent years is also impressive, with 26 wins and just three defeats from their last 33 meetings. Everton's last win at Old Trafford came 15 years ago in the first season of the Premier League.

"Everton have been in great form of late since they lost the derby game to Liverpool," said United manager Alex Ferguson. "They recovered very well from that and have shown great consistency. They're a young team, but one that's full of confidence and I expect it to be a really good game." Rio Ferdinand, Wes Brown and Carlos Tevez should all be fit for the game after picking up minor knocks in last week's 1-0 win at Anfield.

Everton go into the game on the back of their best run since they were the vying with Liverpool for national domination 20 years ago. Thirteen unbeaten games, including 11 wins, have taken them to the top six in the league, the semi-finals of the League Cup and the last 32 of the UEFA Cup.

"The confidence is great here at the moment," said South African Steven Pienaar, who is forging a creative partnership with Spaniard Mikel Arteta in a midfield where Tim Cahill, Lee Carsley and Leon Osman, who misses today's game with a broken toe, deliver complementary energy.

"We know we are going to score goals and just hope we get one in Manchester. As long as we don't give anything away we know we'll have a good game."

In Sunday's other games Chelsea travel to Blackburn Rovers while Newcastle United host bottom club Derby County.
