Libertadores Cup: Atletico Paranaense have been ordered to play the home leg of the Libertadores Cup final against Sao Paulo more than 700 kilometres away from their usual venue because of its limited capacity. The S. American Football Confederation (CSF) has decided the first leg of the all-Brazilian tie on Wednesday will be in the Beira-Rio stadium in the southern city Porto Alegre, 711 kilometres from Paranaense's home town of Curitiba.

Arson Attack: A car used by Dinamo Zagreb coach Josip Kuze was destroyed in an arson attack early on Saturday, police said. Kuze told police the car was owned by his 26-year old son. Neither had received threats. Dinamo Zagreb, who have won seven titles since Croatia gained independence in 1991, ended seventh in the rankings after the first part of the Croatian league last season. They were forced to play in the relegation play-offs but survived easily.

Ventola: Nicola Ventola has completed his move to Atalanta, signing a two-year contract with the Serie B club. Last season, Ventola had a short spell on loan at Crystal Palace scoring one goal.

Corradi: Fiorentina have opened talks with Valencia regarding a loan move for Bernardo Corradi. The Viola are looking to increase their options up front after Juve secured full ownership of Fabrizio Miccoli, and have targeted Corradi on top of their list.
