Zico: Fenerbahce has signed former Japan coach Zico to replace German coach Christoph Daum. Zico has signed a two-year contract with the Istanbul-based team. Daum led Fenerbahce to second place in the league in 2006, after winning their 16th league title the previous season. In the second qualifying round of the Champions League, Fenerbahce play the winners of the Birkirkara-B36 Torshavn tie.

President banned: The president of Swiss cup winners FC Sion has been banned from all soccer activities for 21/2 years after he attacked a linesman in December 2004. The Swiss FA said it was forbidding any of its clubs from dealing with Christian Constantin during the 30-month period.

Rossi: Manchester United striker Giuseppe Rossi has agreed a two-year contract extension keeping him at Old Trafford until 2010. Rossi, who was born in the United States but has Italian nationality, joined United from Parma in July 2004. The teenager is likely to be given further opportunities at first-team level by United next season, particularly if Ruud Van Nistelrooy is allowed to leave.

Dinamo Bucharest: Dinamo Bucharest have signed New Zealand goalkeeper Glen Moss on a four-year deal. Serbian attacking midfielder Sreten Stanic has also joined the club, who play Malta's Hibernians in the first preliminary round of the UEFA Cup after finishing third in the league last season. Last month, Belgian right-back George Blay moved to Dinamo from La Louviere.
