Kaiserslautern striker Michael Mifsud was handed a three match ban by the German football association for violent conduct during Saturday's 2-0 home defeat to leaders Bayern Munich. Video evidence had shown Mifsud elbowing Bayern defender Niko Kovac in the stomach, an incident that was not spotted by the match officials. The former Sliema player will now miss his side's next three Bundesliga matches against Wolfsburg (home), Borussia Dortmund (away) and Hertha Berlin (home).
