Iuliano: Primera Liga strugglers Real Mallorca have agreed to sign Juventus defender Mark Iuliano. Iuliano, 31, has won four league titles since joining the Serie A side in 1996.

Zahovic: Slovenia international Zlatko Zahovic is to leave Benfica after failing to gain a regular starting place under coach Giovanni Trapattoni. The 34-year-old playmaker's contract was due to expire at the end of the season.

Mutu: Juventus have signed former Chelsea striker Adrian Mutu on a five-year deal. The Romanian international, sacked by the west London side in October after testing positive for cocaine, is serving a seven-month ban but will be available for the last two rounds of matches in Serie A when his suspension ends on May 18.

Beckham: England captain David Beckham was given a spontaneous round of applause by journalists on Tuesday when he made his first attempt at speaking Spanish in public at a Real Madrid news conference. "El partido con Atletico was mucho mejor para todos (the game against Atletico was much better for all of us)," he stuttered nervously. Beckham will have won over many people as he provided the first evidence that he was beginning to use the language.

Sonck: Belgium striker Wesley Sonck has agreed to leave Ajax for Borussia Moenchengladbach. Sonck is to sign a three-and-a-half year contract with the German Bundesliga club. Media reports said Moenchengladbach would pay the Dutch champions a fee of around four million euros.
