A medical supplies company has filed a judicial letter against the government's Central Procurement and Supplies Unit (CPSU) saying that a new request for quotations for hearing aids ignored a previous court sentence.
OK Ltd said a fresh call for quotations for 15 Bone Conduction Hearing Aids followed an earlier tendering process which was the subject of a lawsuit instituted by OK Ltd, as failed bidder.
In its judgment in the first case, the Superior Court of Appeal had ordered the Public Contracts Review Board to reassess the case as there had been "a lack of clarity" in the contracting authority's call.

But almost five months after that judgment, the Review Board has still not fixed a hearing so as to remedy its previous shortcoming, as directed by the court, OK Ltd said.
Instead, a fresh request for quotations was made, with conditions that appeared to have been tailor made to suit the specifications of the product offered by the competitor, the successful bidder on the earlier tender, the court was told.
OK Ltd called upon the CPSU to stop and withdraw its request for quotations within three days of face further legal action.
Lawyer Michael Tanti-Dougall signed the judicial letter.
