All for Property Ltd has filed a judicial protest against the Director-General of Health and the Director of Environmental Health holding them liable for damages after Cocaine Energy Drink was withdrawn from the market on orders from the Health Department.

The company said that the authorities last March granted it a permit to import the drink from the United States. It had provided the authorities with all documents concerning the product and ingredients.

After the energy drink was placed on the market, and following pressure from some public agencies, the Customs authorities started to seize samples of this drink. Last month the Department of Environmental Health sealed cans of the drink in the shops.

All for Property Ltd insisted that the authorities had been given every opportunity to examine the product before they authorised its importation and sale in Malta. It therefore called on them to halt their actions and held them liable in damages.
