The FKNK hunters' federation said today that it would not tolerate or defend those involved in trapping during the closed season, as they were fueling the fire of those who wanted to abolish all trapping.
It said such trappers were seriously jeopardising the future of trapping.
Those who wanted to see the complete abolition of trapping were using these incidents to impress the European Court of Justice at a time when it was deliberating in the case against Malta instituted by the European Commission, the federation said.
